BIOBUILD, a Horizon Europe funded Innovation project has been launched with a €4.9 million budget to provide thermal solutions for energy efficient buildings using fully bio-based building materials. The project incorporates bio-based phase change materials (bioPCMs) into solid wood and fibers bound by plant oil resins, lignin and fungal mycelium. With its innovative approach, BIOBUILD aims to reduce up to 20% of energy consumption in buildings.

Vienna, 8 March, 2024

SAGROPIA, a Horizon Europe Innovation project, was launched in January 2024 with a budget of €6 million to provide biological solutions and innovative IPM strategies for sustainable farming of row crops like potato and sugarbeet in Europe. The SAGROPIA project, with its innovative solutions, will focus on biocontrol methods for combating plant pests and diseases and contribute to the EU’s target of 50% chemical pesticide reduction in agriculture.
