RTDS Association – a non-profit Association (‘Verein’) for implementing dissemination, exploitation and communication activities within publically funded research and innovation projects.
RTD Association is a not-for-profit arm of the RTDS Group® supporting the “research to market” process of EU funded collaborative projects. RTDS Association was set up for the non-technical implementation of non-profit Research and Technological Development (RTD) projects. Our usual role in EU projects (H2020, BBI etc.) is Work Package Leader for Dissemination, Exploitation and Communication (DEC) and/or for project management and administration. As a ‘neutral’ partner, not claiming ownership of results, we objectively manage intellectual property and developing strategies and plans for commercialisation in the interest of all partners.
RTDS Association evolved from the successful company RTD Services which is/was coordinator and partner in several completed and ongoing FP projects covering energy, environment, food and agriculture programmes. The multidisciplinary team covers a range of sciences & engineering, IP law & business administration, marketing and innovation as well as graphics, video and website design.
RTDS Association is recognised as a non-profit legal entity by the European Commission and has the PIC number 929551583. Our first H2020 collaboration began on March 1st 2016 being the PEAKapp project (Personal Energy Administration Kiosk application: an ICT-ecosystem for Energy Savings through Behavioural Change, Flexible Tariffs and Fun) coordinated by the Energy Institute of the Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Austria. Several other H2020 and BBI project participations are under evaluation. Most of our projects are in the related fields of bio-economy, renewable energies, sustainable food, nutrition and agriculture as well as relevant applications of ICT and social sciences.
RTDS Association is formally registered in the Austrian Association Register (Zentrales Vereinsregister, ZVR Number 465699086) with head office in Vienna.
